Vegan Chocolate White Russian

Honestly is there anything better than a White Russian when it’s cold out? NO. There is not.

I LOVE these things and I could guzzle them all night so I’ve been wanting to come up with a healthier version for a while. Not that I don’t love me some heavy cream, but mixing a bunch of cream and alcohol doesn’t make for a good morning.

I really wanted to spice this recipe up and use a Treehouse Milk chocolate pecan milk (btw NOT sponsored just love them), but you could of course use any sort of dairy-free milk for this. The hint of chocolate is super yummy, but I also made it with original pecan milk and it was great, too.

Add a boat load of cinnamon for good measure as well. This is just SO good.

It makes a really great holiday drink, too. Ya know. For next year. Or even for Valentine’s Day because I can tell your right now, you put one of these in front of me and you’re probably getting laid.

This recipe has less Kalhua than a traditional White Russian because I wanted to keep the sugar lowish, but it does not sacrifice on flavor.

Vegan Chocolate White Russian

  • 1 1/4 oz vanilla vodka (I like Smirnoff)

  • 3/4 oz Kalhua

  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 oz chocolate pecan milk

  1. Shake everything in together in a shaker and pour into a glass. Add 1 ice cube (too much will water it down).
